The Cost Effective HP LaserJet 1022 Printer
The HP LaserJet 1022 printer has been designed for small offices printing needs. Priced at approximately $500, it is considered to be a budget friendly printer. Aside from that, it also has a very low printing cost using the HP LaserJet Q2612A toner cartridge, but gives fast results. Now, let’s take a closer look if this device is appropriate for your needs.
As we all know, office printers should print with speed. This HP model can print 19 pages per minute which is already for both black and white texts. This printing speed is considered to be faster than other laser printers under the same class. Other than that, the text’s quality is very impressive. We tried some printing fonts that were 4 point small and all of them were very clear. Its quality results and speed were even better than some of the more expensive laser printers have provided.
Other than that, office printers should have good printing capacity. This HP LaserJet laser printer has an average cycle of 8000 pages per month. This number of pages is quite enough to answer the needs of offices with three to five people. It is equipped with a 266 MHz processor and 8 MB memory that allows this device to handle anything from a wide variety of texts and graphics without malfunctioning.
This laser printer model from HP has a max resolution of 1200 by1200 dpi that makes it good enough to print any graphics. It can even accept any media from 3 by 5 - 8.5 by 14 inches. It also comes with a paper tray that is able to handle 260 sheets of paper. This is considered to be twenty percent larger if we compare it to its other competitors.
Even though this printer does not have a built in Ethernet port, you have the option of connecting it to the domain computer or server. Although it doesn’t have a networking capacity, it’s still a good printer because of its quality prints and printing speed. The LaserJet utilizes a high-speed Universal Serial Bus to connect to a specific computer. This device was released as an entry level printer right after year 2002 so it no longer have the old parallel port now. This makes sure that its connection is even fast enough to send and receive data.
This HP printer consumes about 300 Watts if it’s operational. This fact makes it more power efficient if compared to some other laser printers under its class. This is according to the 350 Watts consumption of other average laser printers. This HP device also has this standby feature which only uses 2 W of electricity. This is known to be one of the lower stand-by power usages under its class.
The HP LaserJet 1022 printer is very appealing to customers who have small offices. Its speed is truly remarkable for a cheap printer and it also allows you to take advantage of the low printing cost. This printer may be small but you can definitely get what your money’s worth.
